NAATI Digital Certification vs Wet Stamp

Most online lodgements — ImmiAccount, skills assessments, university portals — accept a digitally certified NAATI PDF with the practitioner's stamp and signature. Counter submissions, some registry offices and certain court filings still ask for the physical wet-stamped copy. Order the hard copy when the requirement mentions originals or in-person lodgement.

Is a scan of the wet stamp the same as a digital certification?

Functionally similar for upload, but a digitally certified PDF carries the practitioner's digital signature, which some portals prefer. Information current as of August 2026. Requirements change — always confirm with the authority that will receive your documents. Approval is at their discretion.

Can I order both?

Yes. We commonly issue the PDF first for the upload deadline and courier the hard copy afterwards.

Does the digital version expire?

The certification does not expire, but the practitioner's own NAATI certification has an expiry date shown on the stamp. Some authorities want the stamp valid at the date of lodgement.
